SSFAIRNESS.COM is a group of:
- Nationwide grassroots volunteer group of public service workers. Begun in 2009, growing to 2400.
- Organized to REPEAL the GPO and the WEP, two unfair Social Security offsets: the Governmental Pension Offset and Windfall Elimination Provision – Heroes’ Penalties.
- Supporting the repeal of the Government Pension Offset (GPO) and the Windfall Elimination Provision (WEP). The Social Security Fairness Act of 2009 will now need to be replaced with a new version for the 112th Congress.
- Our goal is to repeal the GPO and WEP by reaching out to all public employees in all states where these two offsets exist and to collaborate with employee organizations and support political action in support of these two bills.

OK, that went through. You have to leave your name in the email line and the email address in the ‘website’ line.
I don’t understand how a person can work for many years in the private sector and then decide to teach school and be denied their full, earned social security pension. This is clearly wrong.
Also, why is this a rule in some states and not in others?
Thanks Jerry for the heads up and I will look into it, to see if somehow the email info was incorrectly listed. Definitely needed to know this.
